The Best Body Scrub

Trilium OrganicsI discovered Trillium Organics Body Polish (salt scrub) at the Standard Hotel Spa in Miami a few years ago. I like the Standard Spa because it’s set up like a Turkish hamam. In addition to all of the regular spa services, you can buy a day pass and use the wet rooms and hot stone areas to self-spa — a solitary, romantic or social experience unavailable at most modern spas. I bought a packet of this scrub there and have been hooked since.  since. First, it’s made with salt, not sugar, which doesn’t exfoliate nearly as well, and not with plastic microbeads, which are an environmental hazard. With natural salt and a combination of organic oils it moisturizes your skin as it exfoliates — leaving your skin noticibly smooth and soft. I use it 2-3 times/week, but it’s suitable for daily cleansing. I adore the cedar eucalyptus scent, but it comes in 10 varieties (mostly fruity), including an unscented version for those who don’t like added fragrances, even natural ones.  Certified USDA organic, and made in Door County, Wisconsin (a great summer getaway we’ve written about in ManAboutWorld, the 24oz jar is $25 from Trillium Organics (free shipping when you buy 4) or Amazon.com. Rub a small amount between your hands, and rub onto your damp skin like you were rubbing in sunscreen. Rinse. Towel dry and marvel at your renewed skin.
