My dogs have flown back and forth from NY to LA enough times to earn a free first class ticket — if only they were allowed to accrue miles.  So I was pleased to read that the merged United/Continental is keeping Continental's PetSafe program — the only one that assures your precious cargo will remain in a temperature controlled environment the entire trip — never left on a baggage cart in the hot or cold.
