The Sea is Calling: Royal Caribbean’s “Shellphone” Ads


When I started in the travel industry 20 years ago, all cruise advertising was aimed at people who had never been on a cruise, showcasing the fun features and activities of a cruise vacation.  Royal Caribbean's  new "The Sea is Calling: Answer it Royally" campaign finally moves beyond the Kathie Lee Gifford/Carnival Cruise We've Got the Fun paradigm in a really engaging way.  How could you not love a "shellphone"?
