The Best e-Book Wireless Reading Device: Amazon Kindle

Kindle-3-420x551 Although the iPad does a zillion things that a wireless reading device doesn't, it's far from perfect as a reading device.  The newly relaunched Kindle from Amazon, however, raises the bar for electronic reading. The New York Times, Fast CompanyCNet and Engadget, PCWorld and PC Magazine all agree.  For its truly portable size, exceptional screen contrast and clarity, ease of use, and amazing battery life, it bests the Sony Digital Reader
and Nook… For now, anyway. The latest version starts at $139, making it an early best bet for the holiday season.  Order soon — supply is not keeping up with demand — it's currently back-ordered through September 17th.

I was thinking this would be a good thing to have while I’m away in Cartagena, since I’m always schlepping so many books down there, and then there are books I think of to read that I can’t get ahold of.
What is the difference between this model and the one that says it has 3G which costs about $50 more?
