Outback Detergent: Free Detergent Offer From Subaru
Never one to pass up a frequent flyer mile opportunity, I once got 2,000 Mileage Plus miles for test driving a Toyota Avalon. At a cost to Toyota of about $20 (plus advertising), it seemed a smart way for them to get high-potential prospective custiomers (United frequent fliers) behind the wheel. I'm not so sure about the lure of free laundry detergent to accomplish the same for Subaru. The Subaru "Don't Fear The Dirt" ads draw a humorous connection between outdoorsy adventurers who stain their clothes, and "the only detergent specially designed to get out the dirt and grime that the all-new Subaru Outback helps get in." The concept is unusual, but so was engaging Martina Navratilova to hawk their sturdy, sensible vehicles, making them the preferred car of sporty lesbians everywhere, and earning their sobriquet: "Lesbaru." The detergent is free, while supplies last, at your local Subaru dealer. Learn more, and locate a dealer, at outbackdetergent.com
