Casio Sportura Kinetic Watch

Casio Sportura Kinetic Watch

SPortura

I have a small collection of watches.  Most of them weren't too expensive, and some of them are "replica" watches I bought in Shanghai.  One of the interesting things I discovered shopping for replicas is that they don't knock off Seiko watches.  Because the brand has no "luxury" markup, there's not enough profit margin to make any money copying the Japanese engineering and design.  That appeals to me on a couple levels.  This watch, which you can buy for $482 at Overstock.com, catches more eyes and compliments than watches costing 10 times as much. The kinetic (winds itself as your wrist moves) movement stores a couple weeks worth of power (meaning you can leave it on your dresser for a week, without resetting it).  It's my choice for Day 18 of the 41 Days of Christmas.
