My towel obsession started about age 10, when i purloined an entire set of towels from the Château Frontenac hotel in Québec. And I’m not proud to say they would not be the last set of hotel towels that found their way home to my bathroom without compensation.  I did once buy a shower curtain from the Park Hyatt hotel in San Francisco, though I’m not  sure I can chalk that up to an act of conscience as much as a failure to figure out how to inconspicuously remove it.  When it comes to towels, I really like a heavy, small-loop cotton towel that’s thick but not too soft.  Restoration Hardware has an ideal incarnation of this towel, in 56 colors, no less.  What’s even better, they’re 20% off through February 3rd.
