Although I played it for the first time last year, I’m a big fan of Yahtzee. It has just enough skill and strategy to make it interesting for a thinking person, but it’s mostly a game of chance, which makes it appropriate for non-thinking people of all ages and stages of intoxication.  And it’s easily portable for travel — just a pad, pencil and set of dice.  Now, you can play Yahtzee with any set of five dice, but it’s even more fun with different sets of dice.  I bought mine at dicepool.com.  They have a wide range of styles and colors at low prices, including shapes and sizes for all sorts of other dice games.
