Brent and Sam’s Chocolate Chip With Pecan Cookies
Back in the days before the Pyramid replaced the USDA’s Four Food groups, I used to refer to Chips Ahoy as the fifth food group. I’ve always loved chocolate chip cookies, and even spent one summer perfecting a chocolate chip cookie recipe. (For the bakers among you, ground pecans, ground oatmeal and a banging of the cookie sheet on the counter a few minutes before they finish baking were the transformative modifications.) But when I don’t have time to bake, I reach for a box of Brent and Sam’s
Chocolate Chip With Pecans cookies. These bite-sized cookies are irresistible, and despite my great self control, I find it hard to not eat my way through a whole 7-oz box. In writing this, I just discovered they’re available in a 5-pound bulk pack for $25. If you don’t see any new posts for a while, call a doctor. It’s a good bet I’ll have gone into a sugar coma.
