Ultra-Calm Natural Relaxant for Dogs
My dogs Duey and Elbee flew east from LA last night. They’ve been flying back and forth for the summer since they were puppies, and do really well in the crate for the ten or so hours it takes to get them door-to-door. Still, Duey is a little high strung (my mother calls him "neurotic," Bruce and I like to call him "enchanted"). He totally freaks out during thunderstorms, and can panic at any loud noise that resembles thunder: car backfires, crashing waves, airplane landings. We tried prescription tranquilizers, but he seemed realy disturbed by the sensations of sedation. A couple years ago, I discovered Ultra-Calm from drsfostersmith.com. Made from highly concentrated valerian extract, inositol, and soothing chamomile, these bite-size tasty treats really relax him without the disorientation he experienced on the prescription meds. They take about an hour to kick-in, so we start giving them to him anytime the weather forecast is ominous.
How about some of these tasty little “treats” for us neurotic humans?!
