Pineapple Slicer
My friend JB made us brunch last weekend, but the one task he passed on was cutting up pineapple. It’s a messy, complex task that no one really enjoys. Unless you have a pineapple slicer/corer. Simply cut off the top, press the serrated edge into the pineapple and twist. The blade swings around the core, creating a long sprial of pineapple. While you lose some of the edible part, there’s no mess, and you gain a hollowed-out pineapple that you can use as a serving bowl. It’s one of the few task-specific preparation gadgets that’s really more efficient than using a knife. I’ve had the basic model for years, but I’m going to try the stainless steel-bladed one.
Ordered it and can’t wait to use it!!
