One of the birthday gifts I got (um.. from me to me 😉 was a box of Andre’s Tea cookies. André Bollier immigrated from Switzerland to Kansas City in 1955 and opened a typical Swiss Confiserie.  Now, I know Kansas City is known for many things – steaks, Wolferman’s muffins, fountains… but having tried these cookies, suddenly the Oscar Hammerstein song seemed plausible.

I love cookies. Now I haven’t tried Andre’s chocolates: having worked in a chocolate shop as a teenager, I’ve already had my lifetime allotment. But I LOVE cookies. And these delicate wonders are as good as any bakery cookies I’ve ever had.  So good, I spent a ridiculous sum of money to send myself a box.  I’m not sorry, and you won’t be either.
