My very first iPod came with pretty much all the accessories one needed to use it.  So when I got my new iPod Video,  I was disappointed by how little came in the box.  It was almost as outrageous as the first time I bought a printer that considered the USB cable an accessory.  To play your iPod through your stereo, all you really need is a mini-plug to RCA Plug cable. But an iPod dock is the more elegant solution, also allowing you to charge your ipod and/or sync it with your computer.
