If you’re like most people, you’re scrambling this week to get something for Mom. Forget flowers, chocolates, and Hallmark cards.  The best Mother’s Day gift is simple: Write her a note, telling her how much she’s means to you, and thanking her for all the things she’s done for you over the years. (Boy, I’m setting myself up with this one.)  Unless she’s Mommie Dearest, in which case, you should probably be checking out my Gift Ideas category and paying for express shipping, because there’ll be hell to pay if it’s late.
