Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch

Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch

I was in Beaver Creek this week, staying at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch — yep, lucky me. It’s definitely the most deluxe hotel in the area, although Bachelor Gulch is secluded, and a little removed from the restaurants, shopping and activities of Beaver Creek Village, an easy 10-15 minute shuttle ride away. We stayed in a Club Level room.  Many hotel chains now have "concierge" or "club" level" floors which include extra security (keyed elevator access) and amenities, but the Club Level at Ritz-Carlton  includes five "food presentations" a day: expanded continental breakfast, mid-day snack (which makes a perfect light lunch off the mountain), afternoon tea, late afternoon hors d’oerves and evening dessert, along with all-day soft drinks, tea and cookies. You could easily keep yourself well-fed without ever paying for a meal.  The ski package rate we paid was also a good deal, netting us the Club Level room for the same price as a regular room at the Park Hyatt.

If you happen to be lucky enough to stay there, be sure to book a massage at their spa with Steve, a physical therapist/kineseologist who will right whatever wrongs the slopes inflict on you.
